How Many Calories You Need Per Day?

Feb2

Do you want to calculate how many calories you need per day? Here is a simple formula for that:

BMR (Basal Metabolic Rate) [kcal]

Body Weight [lb] x 15 + (moderate activity [minutes / day] x 3.5)

As you want to lose weight, you need to set BMR as – 500 kcal. For example:

Lets say that you weight 140 lb and performing 20 minutes of average activity every day. BMR would be = (140 x 15) + (20 x 3.5) = 2100 + 70 = 2170 kcal. Don’t forget to reduce it by BMR 500 which would make it 1670 calories total. So your target in this example is to lose 1 lb per week.

Simple, isn’t it?
